How to make a great cocktail using only what’s in the hotel minibar
By Mashable – The hotel minibar is often a last resort: You’re tired, you’ve been traveling all day, you don’t even want to go downstairs to the hotel bar. But a single serving of Bacardi over hotel-hallway ice is not exactly an artisan cocktail.
Virgin Hotels is offering some ideas to class up a hotel room with recipes for cocktails made exclusively with ingredients from their minibars.
The company’s bar manager Jonathan Harris developed the recipes, which make use of everything from Altoids mints to astronaut ice cream. Next time you’re in the mood for a drink, take some inspiration from these recipes.
Vice Cream Soda
This cocktail’s a virgin. Ingredients:
- Astronaut ice cream
- Pellegrino Aranciata
- Iced green tea
- Grey Goose vodka
The Cheeky Bastard
- Schweppes tonic water
- Sapphire gin
